Update 10-2 Homework assignment of DOOM!

We are entering the wonderful world of chemical reactions this week.  We’ve been learning all about single atoms and molecules, but now we are starting the part of chemistry that’s really fun.  We’re making cool reactions occur.   Today’s homework is to find out if a given chemical equation is obeying the law of conservation of mass by being balanced.  It is in the protected post after this one.

Don’t forget the test tomorrow over atoms and the periodic table!

Don’t forget to make sure your interactive notebook is up to date.  Use the page on the left to make sure you’ve got everything.  A notebook check is coming up and will be a test grade.

Atomic Structure and Periodic Table Test on 10-2! Beware!!!

We will be testing knowledge of the atom, subatomic particles, bohr models, and the periodic table on Thursday, October 2nd.  Be aware that this is coming up and make sure you understand these things!  This test grade will go on the 2nd six weeks.

First Six Weeks Almost Over!

The last day to turn in work or do corrections on grades from this first six weeks is on Thursday, October 2nd.  I will be available for tutoring before school on Monday and Tuesday this week as well as after school Monday to Wednesday.  Please make time to come to tutoring if you aren’t happy with your grade!

Bohr Model Quiz of Doom (Wednesday)

Brush up on your bohr model making and make sure you can figure out the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons from a square on the periodic table.  Good luck!  Bon chance!  Buenas suerte!

Science Safety Quiz on Friday! Study People.

Friday will be our first quiz grade.  Please make sure you know the following:

  • How to get information from an MSDS
  • What exactly an MSDS is
  • What not to do in a laboratory
